This should read "For 24 seconds". The 15-2-12 figures are correct.

Does this skill work on melee attacks? Wand/cane/staff attacks? (My ranger hasn't gotten far enough to obtain it yet)

No, it doesnt. When you apply poison, it just causes all arrows to have a coat of poison on them.

It does work on Melee but only if there is a Physical attack component. Not wands, and probably not a sword/axe if it's got an elemental enchantment. You get it in the village/area north of Lions Arch.

My Warrior/Ranger is using this spell with a fiery dragon sword just fine, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't require a physical component.

I believe the name is Captain Greywind in Ascalon Settlement above Lions Arch

a sword is pretty much physical damage. but it does confirm that elemental damage is not a problem.

just because its a fiery dragon sword doesnt mean it does elemental damage cuz it has "fiery" in the name.. unless u added in a hilt to it that adds elemental dmg.. then is the only way you could know

Actually, all dragon swords are fiery, and all fiery weapons deal elemental fire damage. Also, you cannot change fiery dragon swords to do anything but fire damage.

This works on arrows as well as any melee weapons. Even with an element damage mod. It will not work on canes or staffs because their is nothing to apply poison to..

I have several Warrior/Ranger characters IMO this is the best mix in the game. You have a max damage sword with one of the stances and apply poison you'll see a lot of creatures die very quickly. Like to start with Berzerkers Stance, then Apply Poison, get them bleeding, you can just watch their health flow out on some its dramatic. With smaller creatures when they just have a little health left you can turn toward the the next one and let the poision finish them off. This is one sweet skill.

By the way it does work with sword or axe. Why do you think you they have lengthen poison duration hilts? Try them without applying poison first.
It would be nice if you could find a poison blade like a fiery blade. Guess that would do too much damage to flesh creatures.
